We created this website to provide votors a nonpartisan estimate on the impacts of Carbon Washington's proposal and not to advocate for or against the proposal.
We aim to be transparent about how all our values are calculated and what assumptions we've made. That's why we've posted our full methodology report for those who are curious.
Justin is a PhD student in Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Washington. His research analyzes technology in its social and political context and aims to design tools that make a positive contribution in that context.
Alan is a professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at the University of Washington, an adjunct professor in the Information School, and a member of the Interdisciplinary Ph.D. Program in Urban Design and Planning. His current research is in two areas: human-computer interaction and programming languages. You can learn more about him on his faculty webpage.
Brittany is a designer, programmer, and University of Washington alumna. Human Centered Design combines her fascination with people and her interest in computer science.
